Sajaad Releases Album "Manifest"

Relatively new to the Athens music scene, Sajaad thinks it’s “a great place to create buzz with the right plan,” and from social media you can see his plan at work. He’s been busy this fall with releases, the latest being the artist’s first EP on all platforms that dropped on Halloween, Manifest.

Manifest opens with a voicemail recording in “Fun & Games,” a hip hop trend that still feels sincere—a reminder of the artist journey and where they come from as a person. It all checks out here with the content to come in the rest of the EP. “Got Time” comes in with a catchy beat that bounces with the vocal delivery, both keeping the flow rolling nicely. This track is easily a banger in the car or on the dance floor. Four tracks in, “Shawty” switches up the vibe bringing the energy down but keeping up Sajaad’s quick, consistent flow. “Ride” follows this track, feeling like a true extension of “Shawty” in content and sound as well as adding more singing to the mix. “Portia” creates a smooth transition out of the low energy and back into the beginning vibes when listening to the EP as a whole. With a spoken word intro, this track reignites the upbeat, bouncing energy. The final track before the last two “bonus” tracks, “The Low,” feels like it brings everything together, the auditory lows and highs felt through the whole project.

For a total of nine tracks, the project is just a 25-minute listen. Most of the tracks fit under three minutes, with quite a few coming close to the two minute mark. That being said, give it a listen all the way through with shuffle turned off. Overall, the songs are relatable in a general sense without getting specific. There are a lot of themes of coming up in this EP, evaluating relationships and speaking on dreams/goals.

“After people listen, I hope they feel connected with the music, me as an artist and as a person. Maybe even grab some inspiration/motivation to take a chance and manifest whatever they desire in life,” said Sajaad.

While visuals for Manifest are coming soon, you can head to YouTube for the “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” Sajaad released back in August. The artist is working on more things behind the scenes, one of which is the clothing brand Devoting Time For Success (DTFS) he has created with his brother.
